The waiters at the hotel restaurant are a little rough around the edges. The first day when we arrived at night we wanted to take a picture in front of the beauty that could be seen from its terrace. When we tried to take the picture, we passed by two people who were having dinner so the waiter literally threw us out and suggested that we take a picture in the street, but in a very rude way. The next day we tried to eat but once again the waiter rudely informed us that the kitchen was closed and that we could only drink something that we agreed to. At the next table there was a couple who also asked for two cocktails and a glass of water, the glass arrived very late and after the lady complained, after which the waiter came to reprimand her saying that she had never asked him in a very rude way. Tip: Stay at the hotel, but don't eat or drink in the restaurant!

Everything except when I tried to have a drink on the outside bar area the host/seater was so rude that I just left after standing for 12 minutes. I went next door to the hotel Bauer where I was greeted warmly and received excellent service. I wasn't even staying there! Everyone else at the Monaco were excellent and very helpful. I would stay there again but eat and drink at the hotel Bauer.

I contacted the hotel and upon arrival the treatment of the reception staff was excellent, specifically Enrica. The room they gave us was excellent, exceeding our expectations. The excellent cafeteria with wonderful views of the Grand Canal. The hotel is situated three minutes or less from Plaza de San Marcos. I'll be back again. Best hotel I ever stayed at. Quite a luxury

Monaco Grand Canal is an absolutely goreous Hotel in the best possible location in Venice. Highly recommendable!
